Call for Proposals

UC Riverside ladder-rank faculty, faculty emeriti, and lecturers are invited to submit a Proposal Submission Form for the 2013 Summer Study Abroad program. All proposals will be submitted to a Summer Sessions Faculty Advisory Committee to ensure that the University's academic objectives are being met by the program and that the minimum program requirements are taken into consideration as outlined below.
Minimum Program Requirements Include:
- Contact with a foreign institution able to accommodate academic instruction space
- Two General Catalog courses (A 190 course may be considered in combination with another 4+ unit course) for a total of 8 units
- Built-in language and cultural components
- Acceptable student housing options
- Group organized field study opportunities integral to the program
- Faculty will provide on-site instructions throughout entire program and will be compensated according to University policy for summer instruction
- Faculty agrees to assist with program development, facilitate contact with host institution, and become primary on-site contact
Proposal Submission Instructions
Complete the form and:
1. Save the completed form and send it as an attachment in an e-mail.
(Save the Microsoft Word file in a directory in your computer to complete it.)
Once you have completed the form, attach it in your e-mail to:
